Taitō Ku (台東区) is one of the 23 special wards of Tokyo, Japan.
As of 2005, the ward has an estimated population of 160,130 and a density of
15890 persons per km². The total area is 10.08 km².
History
The ward was founded on March 15, 1947.
Geography
Situated in the northeastern portion of the wards area of Tokyo, Taito is
surrounded by five other special wards: Chiyoda, Bunkyo, Arakawa, Sumida and
Chuo.
