Daikakuji Temple (大徳寺). A small and understated temple complex, boasting
several small, secluded subtemples. Daitokuji is the quietest of the temples in
north-western Kyoto.

The Daikakuji Temple was originally the detached palace of Emperor Saga.  In
876 he designated that it converted to a Shingon Buddhist Temple as an
expression of his devotion to the Shingon teaching and to the founder of the Sec,
St. Kobo Daishi.  You will find many famous Fusuma paintings of the Momoyama
Period.

of the Daikakuji temple in Saga.
